PayFair - The European Card Payment Solution!

PayFair’s vision is to to provide Europe with its own card payment scheme and brand by making PayFair the leading European card solution in the world.  Many elements contributed to the formulation of this project: needs expressed by retailers for more competition and transparency in card payments, invitation by the European Commission and the European Central Bank to create a European Card Scheme and last but not least the market conditions created by SEPA and the PSD to enable new players to enter the exciting business of card payments.

The PayFair initiative has been started in 2007 by professionals coming from complementary industrial sectors such as Retail, Banking, Payment Processing, Card schemes and Software services.
The project was further funded through an external investment partner, Janivo Holding (NL), in the summer of 2008 ensuring PayFair to remain independent from both banks and retailers.

The current structure of the PayFair group is made of a brand and Licence Company (PayFair International GmbH), a processing company (European Payment Solutions sa/nv) and a holding company (PayFair Holding B.V.).

PayFair is a registered trademark of PayFair International GmbH, a company  which is part of the PayFair group.
